The Ocean server upgrade scheduled for the evening of October 22nd, 2026 contains the following improvements and fixes.

Provider Network
Improvements
- Improved bilingual Health Service Offering workflows so standard service names display in the user's selected language across the Ocean Healthmap, Directory Listing settings, and referral forwarding dialogues.
- Improved Health Service Category searches in Directory Listing settings so French service names can be found with or without accented characters.
- Updated referral appointment confirmation pages so patients see their confirmation message in the same English or French language as the confirmation link they selected from their email.
- Updated referral decline information in the Referral View and generated referral PDFs so French-language decline details display correctly without encoded accent characters.
- Updated referral dashboard statuses so they display in French when users have selected French as their language.
- Updated appointment-medium labels in the Referral View so they display in the user's selected language.
- Improved the Most Responsible Provider (MRP) Reassignment by validating required provider information before a reassignment is completed and identifying any missing details (this is currently an early access feature).
- Updated Regional Authority (RA) site navigation to restrict users from accessing eReferral and eConsult and patient pages that are not required for RA workflows.
- Improved Ontario Health Provincial Health Services Directory (PHSD) integration to support clinic logos on Directory Listings to be displayed on the Ocean Healthmap.
- Improved Ontario Health eReferral integration handling to prevent duplicate new-referral messages from being sent to external systems when Ocean processes an incoming referral split.
Patient Engagement
Improvements
- Updated the video player in Ocean Tablet and Kiosk eForms to improve the reliability of embedded YouTube video playback.
- Updated the time zone handling across Ocean, Cloud Connect, and tablets to support Manitoba time zone changes and maintain accurate appointment calculations.
- Added a Cloud Connect configuration option for supported FHIR-connected EMRs, allowing clinics to choose whether completed kiosk and tablet eForms are saved to the EMR as PDF documents or text encounter notes.
Fixed Bugs
- Fixed the One Time Booking Link cancellation messaging so connected FHIR systems receive only the necessary appointment updates when a patient cancels a booking.
- Resolved an issue with tablet check-in for clinics configured to mark patients as arrived only after all forms are completed. Patients will not be marked as arrived if their session times out or ends before they have completed all required forms.
Platform
Improvements
- Added validation for custom email From addresses in Ocean Site settings to help clinics avoid using email domains that cannot receive delivery-failure notifications.
- Extended security scanning of patient emails to include email subject lines in addition to the existing message content.
- Improved Cloud Connect security by ensuring active sessions are invalidated when users are removed from an Ocean Site or lose their Site Admin access.
