Region-specific Functionality
User Site Validation is currently only applicable in British Columbia. Before enabling User Site Validation for your Regional Authority Ocean Site, please contact your OceanMD Program Account Manager.
Prerequisites
- Your Ocean Site must be configured as a Regional Authority by OceanMD.
- You must have Site Admin access to the Regional Authority Ocean Site.
- 'User Site Validation' must be enabled for your Regional Authority Ocean Site.
To perform 'User Site Validation' for an Ocean Site and consequently grant end users with access to advanced features controlled by the Regional Authority, follow the steps below:
- Within the Regional Authority Ocean Site, open the 'Menu' and select 'Approvals'.

- In the 'Site Licence Approvals' tab, locate the Ocean Site that you would like to validate and click 'Manage'.

- If the Ocean Site meets the approval criteria for your Regional Authority program's validation policy, enable the 'Validate this site' checkbox.

- Click 'Save'.
- Once validated, a validation icon will appear next to the Ocean Site name in the 'Site Licence Approvals' page to indicate that the site has been validated.
