Introduction
Validating and approving Directory Listings and and Ocean Licences can be a time-consuming task, especially for large regional or provincial roll-outs. Ocean’s 'Trusted Users' feature simplifies this process by allowing specific users to create, claim, manage, and (most importantly) validate Directory Listings on behalf of a clinic with an Ocean Site.
What Are Trusted Users?
A Trusted User is a user permission setting that can be applied to a Support Site user with Site Admin privileges (e.g., deployment/delivery team members). When a Directory Listing is created or claimed by a Trusted User, it is automatically validated in the Ocean Healthmap. Trusted Users can update information, add new Directory Listings, and ensure that all details are accurate and up-to-date without needing constant oversight.
Note: This permission is restricted to users that have been approved and submitted by an authorized member of a provincial Regional Authority.
Benefits of Using Trusted Users:
- Efficiency: By designating Trusted Users, Regional Authorities can streamline the process of validating Directory Listings, reducing administrative bottlenecks.
- Security: Trusted Users are vetted and granted specific permissions, ensuring that only authorized individuals can automatically validate a Directory Listing.
- Accountability: With Trusted Users, there’s a clear audit trail of who made changes and when, providing transparency and accountability.
To request Trusted User permissions, follow these steps:
- Submit a Request: Contact your Regional Authority team to submit a request on your behalf.
- OceanMD Review: The OceanMD team will review your request and, if approved, enable Trusted User permissions for the designated individuals.
- Confirmation: Once Trusted User permissions have been enabled, you will receive a confirmation email, and you will be able to manage Directory Listings with automatic validation privileges.
