Each Regional Authority Ocean Site has the option to embed three survey links into the eReferral/eConsult workflow to collect Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) and Provider satisfaction data. Regional Authorities may take advantage of up to three free Ocean Studies for this purpose, or use a third-party survey tool.
Patient Surveys
1) Patient Appointment Booking Survey Link
2) Patient Appointment Reminder Survey Link

This survey link is included in the reminder email notification that is automatically sent to the patient ahead of their appointment for any referrals that have been sent to a Directory Listing that has been approved by the Regional Authority.
Note: The referral recipient's Ocean Site must be configured to send automatic appointment reminders based on the booked appointment information stored within their Ocean eReferrals.
End User/Provider Surveys
3) Ocean User Satisfaction Survey Link
- This survey link is displayed to the referring provider within the confirmation message that is shown when the referral is successfully sent to a Directory Listing that has been approved by the Regional Authority.

This survey link is also included in any email notifications that are subsequently sent to the referring provider regarding the referral.
Note: If Ocean Studies has been used to create the Ocean User Satisfaction Survey Link, the URL can also be sent to all emails that can be exported from the 'Approvals' page of the Regional Authority Ocean Site. The step of sending the email(s) would be performed outside of Ocean.
Survey Link Configuration
Prerequisites
- You must have Site Admin access on the Regional Authority Ocean Site.
- Ensure that you have created your surveys (i.e., using Ocean Studies or your third-party survey tool of choice) and have the relevant URLs for each respective survey.
- If you are using Ocean Studies as your survey tool, ensure you have contacted the OceanMD Support team to request that each Ocean Study has been marked as "free".
Regional Authority Ocean Sites can configure their Survey Link(s) by following the steps below.

Configure your Survey Links using the 'Patient Appointment Booking Survey Link', 'Patient Appointment Reminder Survey Link', and 'Provider Survey Link' settings:
In the left text field, enter the URL that your survey is hosted at (e.g., the Ocean Study URL, or the URL supplied by your third-party survey tool).
In the right text field, enter the text to be displayed as a hyperlink within the Ocean user interface/email notifications.
- Click 'Save Changes'.
