As a Regional Authority Admin, how can I enable 'User Site Validation' for the Regional Authority Ocean Site?

User Site Validation is currently only applicable in British Columbia. Before enabling User Site Validation, please contact your OceanMD Program Account Manager.

In some cases, Regional Authorities may choose to perform a 'User Site Validation' step for Ocean Sites

This optional validation step offers Regional Authority sites an additional degree of control for more advanced features that can impact the user experience for individuals using Ocean under the context of a regional or provincial program.

Enabling Regional Authority 'User Site Validation'

Prerequisites

  • Your Ocean Site must be configured as a Regional Authority by OceanMD.
  • You must have Site Admin access to the Regional Authority Ocean Site.
  • You have contacted your OceanMD Program Account Manager.
  • Within the Regional Authority Ocean Site, open the 'Menu' and select 'Admin'.
  • Select 'Regional Authority'.
  • Under the 'User Site Validation' section, enable the 'Enable site validation' setting.
  • Click 'Save'.

Once enabled, Regional Authority users with Site Admin access can perform 'User Site Validation' for Ocean Sites within the Regional Authority.
