This article provides an overview of the eFax configuration features for Directory Listings and on the Ocean Healthmap. Note that the Ocean site must first be enabled for eFax.
When a Directory Listing is configured for eFax:
- A new 'Mark this listing as an eFax listing' checkbox option will become available.
- The 'eReferral button label' field defaults to a new 'Send eReferral via eFax' button label.
- The 'Fax' field becomes mandatory to ensure the eFax can be successfully delivered. This field is not mandatory in a non-eFax configuration.
- The Directory Listing will display a 'Fax listing' label.
On the Ocean Healthmap

The listing will display the new 'Send eReferral via eFax' button label.
The listing will also display a disclaimer message stating ‘This listing does not update the eRequest status in Ocean. Contact the listing directly as needed for follow-up.’ to inform the sender that the referral is excluded from the regular eReferral notification process.
- On the Ocean Healthmap within the ‘New eReferral’ window, the 'Send eReferral via eFax' button will be displayed at the bottom of the window.
