Ocean Server Upgrade July 17th, 2025 Release Notes

The Ocean server upgrade scheduled for the evening of July 17th, 2025 contains the following improvements and fixes.

Provider Network

Improvements

  • Ocean generated PDFs now automatically update their titles and header fields based on the eRequest that was sent. Users will see specific, descriptive text that reflects the eRequest that was sent - like "eOrder".
  • Active referrals will no longer be subject to archiving and will be available within Ocean indefinitely. Only referrals that are in a terminal state (Completed, Cancelled, Declined, or Externally Managed) will be archived using Ocean's archiving logic.
  • Updated the Med Access Chrome Extension to ensure “MR” and “US” are two new text strings used in the referral description to flag and categorize MRI and Ultrasound referrals appropriately.
  • Added a keyboard shortcut and some workarounds to the Med Access Chrome Extension to help ensure the Ocean attachment button displays consistently for use when sending eReferrals.

Fixed Bugs

  • The 'Listing Under Review' flag will no longer be removed prematurely when an updated, but unvalidated listing, is unclaimed from an Ocean site.
  • Fixed a regression from last sprint where the Directory Listing title was not passed correctly to the Regional Authority application approved notification email.

Patient Engagement

Improvements

  • Users can now easily duplicate reminder rule configurations to streamline set up.
  • New Cloud Connect setting that allows for combined Progress Notes in FHIR API Integrations.

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed a 500 error thrown by Twilio status callbacks that resulted in billing items for SMS failing to generate.

Platform

Improvements

  • Corrected the width spacing for the eForm Browser tied to the Directory Listings page.
