Yes, you can duplicate a reminder rule. This is helpful for efficiently creating multiple similar reminder rules but with slight differences within each (e.g., reminder rules for different appointment types or different EMR schedules).
-
The reminder rule builder will open and automatically inherit the same settings as the original reminder rule (including the Enabled/Disabled state).
By default, the customizable 'Rule Name' will be 'Copy of [Name of the duplicated rule]'. We recommend modifying this to be a recognizable description of the intent of the rule.
- After making any desired modifications to the rule settings, select one of the following actions:
- Save
Save your new reminder rule in it's current state.
- Save & Test Rule
Save your new reminder rule in it's current state and test it. This will bring you to the test rule page.
- Save & Enable
Save your changes and enable the reminder rule. This option appears only in disabled rules.
- Cancel
Cancel the creation of this new rule.
- Save & Disable
Save your changes and disable the reminder rule. This option appears only for live Reminder Rules.
