Ocean Server Upgrade June 26th, 2025 Release Notes

The Ocean server upgrade scheduled for the evening of June 26th, 2025 contains the following improvements and fixes.

Provider Network

Improvements

  • Ocean users can now opt-in to the Autofill Template feature under their user account settings. This feature allows users to save common answers for any Ocean eRequest form so that they can be quickly and easily re-used.
  • eReferral recipients using PSS will now automatically receive the final PDF imported into their PSS system when a referral is marked as complete—provided their Cloud Connect settings support automatic attachment imports. This enhancement brings PSS in line with the other EMRs that already support the seamless import of completed referral documents.

Fixed Bugs

  • The ‘Route to Central Intake’ setting on Directory Listings now correctly pulls all Central Intake listings (previously the query was limiting the dropdown to only returning the first 100 listings).
  • The autocomplete option in the Healthmap search bar will no longer automatically treat multiple searches as additive. To perform combination or multi-term searches, users should use the Advanced Filter.
  • You can now properly set “Virtual Visit Video” as the default appointment medium in Directory Listings.
  • For Regional Authority sites, the ‘eReferrals’ column in the Listings Export report now references the Health Service Offering settings to determine whether eReferrals is enabled for a listing.
  • The prompt in the scheduling pane of the eReferral will now consider the ‘Patient Email Notification’ setting for the site before informing the user whether the patient will be notified of the booking by email.
  • Added checks to ensure that only the current referral recipient can make updates using the eReferral HL7 FHIR v0.10.0 "notify-update-service-requests" message event and v0.11.1 "notify-data-correction message" event.
  • Resolved bug preventing SMART launch when the patient's emergency contact information was partially complete.

Patient Engagement

Improvements

  • The email demographics disclaimer no longer appears in the Kiosk flow.
  • New "About My Clinic" feature in Health Messenger allows clinics to display custom information, including clinic logo and general clinic details, directly to patients.
  • Improved design for the Appointment Reminders confirmation page for a better mobile experience.
  • Updated the Health Messenger message card design to better indicate when a message has been deleted for users.

Fixed Bugs

  • Error no longer shown when non-admin enters the Reminders page for view only access.
  • An ONLINE_BOOKING_COMPLETED audit is now created even if the patient email errored out at the time of completing the online booking.
  • Ocean eForms can once again upsert patients into the EMR even if their birthday is not present in the chart.

Platform

Improvements

  • Sites with Patient Engagement licences covered by a Regional Authority will now be required to add a payment method before purchasing additional licences. This change reflects recent updates to coverage policies.

Fixed Bugs

  • Resolved bug that caused the Cloud Connect FHIR module to appear that it needed to be (re-)setup after the configuration page has been saved.
  • Resolved an issue where the ‘EnablementTab’ could trigger an error if the SiteTimeFormat value was not present.
