PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.87 Release Notes

Ocean custom form v3.87 contains the following changes:

  • Secure messages will now immediately automatically download after the initial send to the patient. (Previously the note did not download automatically until the patient replied and the associated forms were completed)
  • Minor changes were made to the Settings panel and the status handler to support Ocean Connect

v3.86 contains the following changes:

  • The custom form will remain within the chart (as it has done in the past) when Ocean Connect mode is not activated
  • Aesthetic changes were made to the buttons and the button icons (it now uses the same icons as the Ocean portal, with a more consistent monochromatic dark blue)

  • Added an implicit link to view the Patient Dashboard in Ocean (by clicking on the Ocean logo)

  • "Ocean Connect" mode is now supported within the custom form: This mode is intended to be used for clinics using PS Suite with the new Ocean Connect tablet and associated API activation. This Ocean Connect mode turns off the form's "note available" polling (since Ocean Connect should be handling the note uploads instead). This mode also causes the popup window containing the form to automatically close, whenever the form is opened for the sole purpose of executing a specific function (such as sending an email or "Opening" a form)

PS Suite Ocean eReferral Form 1.49 Release Notes

  • Nurse practitioners (NPs) referrers will now see their pre-populated information in Referrer panel

  • referralRefs are supported as the default linkage with a live eReferral (instead of relying on the old referralId linkage), to improve consistency with the rest of Ocean's referral references

PS Suite Ocean eReferral Form 1.48 Release Notes

The PS Suite Ocean eReferral version 1.48 contains the following changes:

  • General improvements to the fault tolerance with potential future PSS incompatibilities: This version includes a Refresh button that shows in the event that the form fails to obtain a proper status DTO from the server during its routine poll. The refresh button will reinsert a new (potentially updated) copy of the form in the chart, allowing it to take advantage of any new installed code changes when the form is updated in the Edit Custom Forms dialog. This refresh option provides a safety net in the event that PSS changes in a way that breaks the form.
  • Also including some minor fault tolerance improvements to the HTML parsing

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.83 Release Notes

The PS Suite Ocean custom form version 3.83 contains the following changes:

  • Including some minor fault tolerance improvements to the HTML parsing of downloaded progress notes
  • Fixing a bug that occasionally prevented the popup message sticky from indicating that a demographic field needs to change (at sites that have read-only PSS demographic fields due to hospital EHRs)

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.81 Release Notes

The Ocean custom form for PS Suite version 3.81 has the following changes:

  • The form will no longer add extra unwanted '@' characters when setting the emergency contact field when the site is not using Emergency Contact sub-fields

  • Removing an Ocean site number from a PSS site that contains multiple Ocean site numbers will now work (previously it gave an error)

  • The Ocean custom form was automatically removing itself from the chart after a note download, even when a Patient Report was available. Now the form will stay in the chart until the user has a chance to open the report link.
  • Ocean<->PSS Custom form value mapping now supports setting custom form items with an apostrophe character using the "APOST_" character sequence. For example an Ocean item with reference "FatherAPOST_s Name" will populate the custom form item named "Father's Name"

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.78 Release Notes

Version 3.78 of the Ocean PS Suite custom form contains the following improvements:

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Import function from automatically downloading an eRequest
  • Adding a workaround for a new bug in PSS that would sometimes insert the downloaded note as a Special Note
  • Now supports inserting eForm notes as Letters (note: this requires the eForm's 'noteType' to be tagged as a letter)
  • Changed the message when adding a new Ocean site to the PSS custom form: now it avoids the use of the term 'sub-site' due to the confusion with Ocean billing-related sub-sites.
  • Updated the list of demographic fields that are excluded from the automatic update for site 2153; a message is sent to inform the reception to make the changes manually (due to the hospital EHR's maintenance of these fields rather than PSS)
  • Improved error reporting and logging

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.75 Release Notes

  • The form now includes the referring physician address information (the missing address info was reported by Joan Chan)
  • The @oceanvital value is uploaded again as an accessible keyword value within Ocean
  • Sites 2153 and 2196 are now included in the list of sites that send demographic update messages
  • Sites can choose to automatically download notes "Even If Notes Require Review"
  • Miscellaneous minor improvements to the background status check, download process and EMR portal SSO link

PS Suite Ocean eReferral Form 1.45 Release Notes

The latest "Ocean eReferral" custom form contains the following changes:

  • The form will now include a message in the progress notes when a custom form is manually removed by a user prior to the completion of the eReferral: "An Ocean eReferral tracking form was manually removed from this patient's chart. Referral ID: 596532c125ac56a810e87325". This message is useful for auditing purposes in the event that a clinically-relevant scenario arises regarding the referral after the form's removal.
  • The form now supports the loading of credentials for Ocean sub-sites within a shared PS Server (as supported by the Ocean.cfm)
  • The full diabetes central intake lab test panel is now included (v 1.40 and later)

  • The clinic name and the referring clinician address information is included in the upload in order to pre-populate this information in the eReferral dialog

  • Miscellaneous back-end improvements for improved maintenance and attachment support

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.72 Release Notes

Version 3.72 of the Ocean custom form contains the following fixes:

  • Significant speed and reliability improvements to the saving of new notes, particularly when multiple notes are downloaded in succession. Previously, the notes were saved and the chart was refreshed for each note, resulting in slowdowns and a lot of flickering.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.71 Release Notes

3.71:

  • The list of lab tests uploaded to Ocean has been expanded significantly to include: Cr, eGFR, Hb A1C, ACR, FBS, RBS, TG, HDL, LDL, CHOL:HDL Ratio, GTT, Serum Ketones, Urine Ketones, Na, K, CO2
  • A minor fix is included to show "empty" instead of "null" in the progress note log when Ocean is changing an empty demographic field

3.70:

  • Occasionally the progress note update FYI text showed it changing a phone number due to a formatting discrepancy, even though the number itself was unchanged

  • Now a custom form that says "Available notes have been downloaded" will attempt to automatically remove itself

3.68-3.69:

  • Updated the custom form mapping code to support the addition of multiple eReferral forms when more than one eReferral is sent for a single patient

  • Deactivated the behaviour that avoids re-adding a note with the same text, since this would cause unexpected missing notes during user testing.

  • Adding missing line break for the smoking/alcohol summary update notes

  • Deactivated automatic note downloads for users whose notes need review (requested by a teaching site)

PS Suite Ocean eReferral Form 1.39 Release Notes

The latest "Ocean eReferral" custom form contains the following changes:

- added 'Ocean eReferral Network' logo; improved aesthetics and layout

- adding optional Pending Test/Consult management. The mapping table is a work-in-progress, but it currently supports the major DI categories as well as ECG, dietitian, endocrinology, chiropody, orthopedics, and ophthalmology. It will fall back to a general pending consult if no category is matched to the health service. This feature needs to be activated within the Settings button before it will start adding pending tests/consults automatically.

- improved the status message in the follow-up message to include the health service

- now supports the addition of multiple eReferral forms for a single patient via the Ocean eReferral custom form

- now supports Ocean subsites by checking the computer-specific site number

- the form's 'Remove' button now generates a more helpful warning and summary text

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.68 Release Notes

- updated the custom form mapping logic to support the addition of multiple eReferral forms when more than one eReferral is sent for a single patient
- removing some legacy code that prevents re-adding a note with the same text
- adding missing line break for the smoking/alcohol summary update notes
- deactivated automatic note downloads for users whose notes need review (requested by a teaching site)

OceanConnect v27 (for Accuro) Release Notes

OceanConnect v27 includes an important fix to prevent multiple redundant notes being added to charts in Accuro in cases that multiple forms were completed by a patient.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.67 Release Notes

Ocean PS Suite Custom Form 3.67 is a minor update that improves the handling of smoking status updates and fixes a related bug.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.66 Release Notes

Version 3.66 of the custom form includes the following features and fixes:

(Note: 3.64 and 3.65 were internal releases)

  • now automatically marks notes as finished to help sites that have the 'yellow bar' unfinished feature activated for new notes in PSS
  • avoids generating false change messages for tobacco and alcohol
  • HTML parser now replaces HTML non-breaking space characters with spaces
  • now uploads the shared encryption key along with the oneTimeKey to auto-populate this in the user's browser (this has never worked)
  • includes fix for a rare scenario that might prevent notes from appearing properly in the chart in the event of a checkout error

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.63 Release Notes

Version 3.63 of the custom form includes the following features and fixes:

- The form will now set the surname/firstName directly as long as the patient's birth date is null (empty). This way, the 'Import' button will be able to set the patient's name automatically

- fixed bug that falsely concluded a birth date was changed when the date was submitted in a different format

- improved logging of checkout errors

- improved the HTML parser to handle bad syntax (eg a missing </b> tag) so that the note can still download (with an error message shown in the note)

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.60 Release Notes

Version 3.60 of the custom form includes the following features and fixes:

  • The 'Use Doctor Initials' advanced setting should retain its value now, rather than reverting to using the 'OCN' placeholder initials

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.59 Release Notes

Version 3.59 of the custom form includes the following features and fixes:

  • Added a 'paperclip' icon which will link to the new Ocean Attachment Exporter custom form. This attachment exporter makes it easy to select and 'green bar' notes in the chart to be exported as a PDF file on the desktop. The file can then be uploaded to an Ocean Online secure message or an eReferral.
  • There is a new setting in the Settings->Advanced area, "Use Doctor Initials On Notes: N/Y". This setting, when enabled, will use the supervising doctor's initials (eg "DK") instead of the generic "OCN" initials for the note when it downloads. Keep in mind that the note will download automatically when the chart is opened, so you need to ensure users have the correct supervising doctor set when they open patient charts when this setting is enabled.
  • Minor bug fix to automatically reset the 'pipe' and 'cigar' fields in the smoking section when patients become ex-smokers.

OceanConnect v17 (for Accuro) Release Notes

The OceanConnect v17 release includes the following improvements since v16:

  • Added support for configuring OceanConnect to pull a different date range for appointments (e.g. 14 days) to facilitate form reminders further before or after the appointment.
  • Improved error reporting and diagnostics.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.55 Release Notes

  • Fixes a bug that would sometimes cause the custom form to disappear prematurely before the patient's session is complete.

(Details: This issue only occurred when a secure message was sent to a patient without the patient's acknowledgment. In this case, when the chart was opened, it would attempt to download a note regardless of whether a note was available for download. It would then receive an error when there was no note available, and respond by removing itself automatically.

Now the form makes use of a new field on the server that indicates whether a note is actually available before it attempts to do an automatic download.)

  • For 'Add Form', it now skips doing a (very slow) search when users forget to type something for the name

  • Fix for the automatic CPP population of smoking status: It would set 'Ex-Smoker' for some patients when the answers actually indicated 'Never smoked'.

  • Expanded the width of the patient ref field to avoid cutting off any portion of the text when a full 5 digits are used

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.52 Release Notes

  • Now uploads the patient's block fee expiry date to support upcoming 'ptBlockFeeExpiryDate' keywords in future Ocean and tablet versions
  • Includes a single Date object for CPPListItem data (via pt.getCppListItemData(cppListKey, itemKey)) now to facilitate analysis for immunizations

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.51 Release Notes

3.51 contains another small fix for an issue with patient uploads. The issue affected a patient's PSS birth date conversion to the Ocean patient JSON format, which led to an error with some Java versions.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.50 Release Notes

3.50 fixes a rare formatting issue with the patient birthdate as uploaded from PSS. This malformation of the birth date prevented it from displaying on the tablet and could prevent decryption of patients in the web browser. This issue caused some clinics to report having difficulty sending online questionnaire invitations when the decryption error occurred.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.48 Release Notes

3.48 fixes a simple bug that prevented EMR imports from working, instead giving an error regarding an old Ocean custom form in the chart.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.47 Release Notes

• Fixing a delay in the display of the patient's Ocean/tablet status caused by timing changes in 3.46. The status should now display almost instantly after Ocean or the chart loads.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.46 Release Notes

• This release contains an attempted fix for an uncommon scenario that sometimes causes the custom form to sit around in the chart after a download.

• It also includes a bug fix with custom form diagram downloading where the checkbox answers wouldn't always save after leaving the chart.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.45 Release Notes

  • Includes an attempted fix for an uncommon issue that can prevent the custom form from automatically removing itself from the chart. (This change was later revealed to not solve the problem).

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.42 Release Notes

• Now uploads PS Suite's preferred pharmacy and comments with data made available as Ocean @pt keywords

• Smoking status CPP updates now work more reliably. Note that an eForm must have smoking fields tagged with their corresponding EMR fields in the editor in order for the CPP update to trigger.

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.40 Release Notes

Ocean CF 3.40

  • 3.39 would give some sites an error whenever the form was added to the chart (related to "substring" not being available for a "null" object)
  • Enabled patient re-use as the only option now. This feature means that a patient will re-use the existing record in Ocean if one exists. If you remove and re-add the custom form, consequently the reference number will stay the same and the form queue will be available.
  • Added alcohol "drinks per week" support in the CPP setting for eForms that have this setting configured
  • Now correctly converts the escape characters for ampersand, less-than, and greater-than symbols in notes

PS Suite Ocean Custom Form 3.39 Release Notes

3.39 fixes two potential bugs:

  • After upgrading to 3.38, some client machines were behaving as if the Ocean settings were not initialized, by asking clients whether they would like to sign up for an Ocean account, or use an existing one. Now each machine should correctly read the site number and behave as before.
  • The patient status could sometimes be misread by the client in certain network configurations (due to the use of an HTTP status code)
