Accuro Issue Impacting CDS Links April 4, 2025 [RESOLVED]

April 4, 2025 9:05 AM EST: We are aware of an issue impacting the ability for Accuro EMR users to launch into Ocean using Accuro CDS links. The ability to send Patient Messages, eReferrals, automated Patient Reminders, and direct access to the Ocean Portal (ocean.cognisantmd.com) remains unaffected.

Our team is currently investigating the issue and we will update this announcement as further information becomes available.

April 4, 2025 10:25 AM EST: Our team is continuing to investigate the issue. There are no additional updates to report at this time.

April 4, 2025 11:50 AM EST: Our team has identified the root cause of the issue and are working on a fix. We'll continue to update this bulletin as more information becomes available.

April 4, 2025 2:37 PM EST: Our team has developed a fix to restore the ability for Accuro EMR users to launch into Ocean using Accuro CDS links. The fix will be deployed tonight (April 4, 2025) between 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM EST. During that time, Ocean will be intermittently unavailable. Once the fix has been deployed, the title of this bulletin will be updated to resolved.

In the meantime, Accuro users can use the temporary workaround below to interact with patients through Ocean:

  • In the 'Patients' page, input the patient's healthcard number into the 'Upload from EMR' field and click the upload button. This will upload the patient into your Ocean Portal.

Note: If the patient has already been uploaded to the Ocean Portal, a message will appear to let you know they already exist within Ocean.

  • Locate and select the patient to perform a patient-specific action within the Ocean Portal.

Note: You can use the search bar in the top left to locate specific patients.

  • The 'Add eForm' button can be used to queue an Ocean eForm for the patient to complete.
  • The 'Email Patient' button can be used to initiate a new Patient Message.
  • The 'Find Health Service' button can be used to initiate a new eReferral/eConsult within the Ocean Healthmap.
