In the interim, Med Access users can use the following workarounds to perform patient-specific actions in Ocean:
-
In the 'Patients' page, input the patient's healthcard number into the 'Upload from EMR' field and click the upload button. This will upload the patient into your Ocean Portal.
Note: If the patient has already been uploaded to the Ocean Portal, a message will appear to let you know they already exist within Ocean.
- The 'Add eForm' button can be used to queue an Ocean eForm for the patient to complete.
- The 'Email Patient' button can be used to initiate a new Patient Message.
- The 'Find Health Service' button can be used to initiate a new eReferral/eConsult within the Ocean Healthmap.
When users click the 'Launch' icon and do not see the 'View Patient' option or the three dots, they can click 'Launch button again to refresh the launcher window. All contextual launch options should then appear.
Note: This fix does not persist throughout the user session. Users must re-click the 'Launch' button each time they perform a contextual launch from any patient chart.
Note: Please disregard the "(Localhost)" launch options seen in the video above. These only exist in our sandbox environment and are not relevant to end users.
