How do I access my Two Factor Authentication (2FA) code?

When Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is enabled for your Ocean account, you’ll be asked to enter a 2FA code when signing in. You can get this code from your authenticator app, or request a one-time code by email.

Option 1: Get the 2FA code from your authenticator app

To get the 2FA code from your authenticator app (for example, Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or a similar app):

  • Open the authenticator app on your phone or other device.
  • Find the entry for your Ocean account.
  • Use the current 6-digit code shown in the app.
  • Enter this code on the Ocean 2FA prompt and click 'Secure Sign In'.

Option 2: Request a one-time 2FA code by email

  • On the 2FA prompt, click 'Request an emailed code'.
  • Check the inbox for the email address associated with your Ocean account for a message containing a one-time verification code.
  • Enter the emailed code into the 2FA prompt.
  • Click 'Secure Sign In' to complete 2FA and continue signing in.

Which email address is used?

The one-time 2FA code is sent to the email address linked to your Ocean user account. If you’re not sure which email this is, please contact your Ocean Site Admin or your organization’s IT support.

What if I can’t access my authenticator app or my email?

If you cannot access your authenticator app or the email address associated with your Ocean account, you will not be able to complete 2FA. Please contact the OceanMD Support team for further assistance.
