We understand that our customers need to be confident that they are communicating with the Ocean platform in a secure environment. One of the ways of ensuring this is to only permit traffic to enter a customer network from trusted IPs owned by OceanMD.

Outbound Firewall Changes Required (Allow traffic from your network to Ocean)

NOTE: Most customers don't have outbound IP or URL restrictions in place so these changes may not be necessary. Check with your network administrator if you're unsure.

Access the Ocean portal and / or Ocean APIs:

Requests to Ocean transit through Cloudflare. See an up to date list of IPs for the Cloudflare network here. Any of these IPs may be used to communicate with the Ocean platform.

 

Ocean URLs

If you have a firewall configured to only permit access to certain allowlisted URLs, you will need to add the following URLs to your allowlist in order to take advantage of all Ocean features.

• https://cloudconnect.cognisantmd.com
  • Allow access to the CloudConnect configuration portal for EMR integrations.
• https://ipinfo.io
  • Used in the Ocean Healthmap to determine where a user is located based on their IP.
• https://ocean.cognisantmd.com
  • Allows access to the Ocean Portal to setup an Ocean site and review patient data stored within Ocean. (Form answers, referrals, etc).
• https://s3.amazonaws.com/ocean.wave
  • For tablet users, download latest builds of the Ocean Tablet app.
• https://s3.amazonaws.com/ocean.pss
  • For PSS users, download latest builds of the Ocean Custom Form and Ocean Toolbar for use within PSS.
• https://sentry.io
  • Allow error reports from Ocean applications running on tablets and in web browsers to be sent to a service we use to investigate and resolve issues.
• https://ws.ebs.health.gov.on.ca:1444/HCVService/HCValidationService
  • For kiosk users, allow real-time health card validation with the Ontario Ministry of Health.
• https://www.oceanhealth.ca
  • URLs found in patient notifications (Email, SMS) use this domain.
• https://www.cognisantmd.com
  • There are links to documentation, the support portal, and submitting a ticket.
• https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com
  • Provides CDN support for Bootstrap's CSS and JavaScript.
• https://fonts.googleapis.com
  • Allows us to pull specific fonts from the Google Font Library.
• https://ajax.googleapis.com
  
  • Allows us to pull from the Google hosted libraries (jQuery & jQuery UI).
•  https://maps.googleapis.com
  
  • Allows us to pull from the the Google Maps API.
• https://fonts.gstatic.com
  • Allows us to pull specific fonts from the Google Font Library.

The following IPs must be added to inbound and outbound allowlists during development and testing of new API integrations against our pre-production environments:
